Easy Campfire Breakfasts

Easy Campfire Breakfasts

When camping, you want something quick and easy to eat for breakfast, especially if you are on the go! These are some great easy campfire meals that you can make before leaving your base camp and starting your day.

Campfire Breakfast Burritos

These breakfast burritos are super easy to put together before a camping trip, just wrap them in foil and then pop them over the campfire or on the coals for 5 minutes before eating. Make sure to get the extra large tortillas at your supermarket. Get the recipe here.

Make-Ahead Pancakes

Use a plastic bag or cone shaped gift wrap from Michael’s. You will also just need a chip clip or rubber band to secure the top for transport. Thrifty DIY Diva uses boxed pancake mix such as Bisquick. I would recommend using Kodiak Cakes (protein packed pancake mix) for a little more substance.

Eggs in a Bag

No shells, no hassle! No broken eggs in transit to your campsite. Customize your bag with different meats, cheeses, and vegetables for the perfect scramble, get the recipe here.

Breakfast Hobo Pies

You will need a PIE IRON for this one. If you don’t have one, get it, NOW! Essential for campfire cooking. The possibilities are endless. This is a breakfast sandwich with eggs, cheese, and a sausage patty. I prefer to make mine with bacon. Get the recipe here.

Stuffed French Toast

Another pie iron recipe for you sweet tooth’s out there. Make sure to use Cinnamon Swirl Bread! Cream cheese, maple syrup, bananas… need I say more? Recipe here.

Fried Spam & Eggs

Another go to- fried spam & eggs. DO NOT BE AFRAID OF SPAM! It is the most underrated canned food. Easy transport, easy to cook, and tastes amazing. No recipe necessary here, just slice it up and stick it on your cast iron with some eggs for a flavorful hearty breakfast.
